The prayer method of Christ shows us that real prayer is the alignment with God within. It is not our personality, asking for something, the noise inside our head, meditation ‘on’ something, thoughts or wishes for past, present or future.

Like Christ Himself often exemplified and actually taught, we must go to our Tameion/inner chamber, not a room as falsely taught but that place inside each of us where God the eternal flame already resides and we must “close the door”, lock ourselves in with God, shutting out the world, our personalities and all distractions until we actually align with God.

The method Christ Himself used and taught is:

  • Focus on God
  • Withdrawn from and shut out all worldly distractions (close the door to our inner chamber - be alone with God)
  • Sit in Silence
  • Align with God within
  • Express our Gratitude and give Him the credit
  • Channel His power and manifest His work

Readings: John 11, Matthew 6, John 14

41 And Jesus lifted up His eyes and said, “Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. 42 And I know that You always hear Me, but because of the people who are standing by I said this, that they may believe that You sent Me.”  John 11;41-42

5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him. Matthew 6:5-8

8 Philip said, “Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us.”

9 Jesus answered: “Don’t you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Don’t you believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in me? The words I say to you I do not speak on my own authority. Rather, it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work. 11 Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me; or at least believe on the evidence of the works themselves. 12 Very truly I tell you, whoever believes in me will do the works I have been doing, and they will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it. John 14: 8-14

Again and again Jesus exemplified HOW to pray. Repeatedly Jesus acted out for us, and practiced for Himself the same METHOD of successful praying.

Prayer Method of Christ - Conclusion

A Set Of Rosary Beads - Used to Help Keep Count of Prayers as we say The Holy Rosary. Yet the real Secret to Using The Rosary Beads is For Their Use to Become Unconscious While We Internally Focus on The Prayers and Our Intentions

So, in summary, Christ repeated the same method of praying so often He was clearly both doing this Himself AND showing us by example how we should pray.

  • He would look up - focus on Heavenly Father
  • Withdraw - up a mountain, out in a boat or into the wilderness or sometimes just clearly focus inwardly/upwardly.
  • He would hold Silence until He aligned with God.
  • He would Channel the power of God the Father.
  • He expressed His gratitude even though the miracle itself had not yet happened and always gave praise and glory for what took place to His Father.
  • THEN what was sought was made manifest.

He told us clearly not to be babbling and pleading AND showed us how we should proceed to pray. Yes, He gave us an example of prayer in The Our Father yet and more importantly, and so long overlooked, He gave us the METHOD to pray successfully!

How has this been missed for so very long? Why have we been taught to plead and beg and ‘babble’? Why were we taught that the Tameion meant an inner room in a building when He clearly meant an inner chamber within ourselves? As He exemplified!

When Christ repeated anything it meant that whatever He repeated was important enough for Him to emphasize it. Christ always repeated this same pattern of prayer. He also repeatedly told us “it is the Father, living in me, who is doing his work”.

God literally lives inside each of us and Jesus taught us how to communicate with Him by literally acting out the specific steps again and again. It is in the nature of mankind to ‘babble’, to plead with authority because that is the human experience.

God, the source of all life and Love lives inside each of us yet; “The nature of man is an enemy to God”. “My ways are not your ways”.The way we talk to God is not the same way we talk to fellow humans and Christ showed us how to do this successfully.

Practice what Christ taught us. It’s not what we’ve been given to believe yet it has always been there in plain sight. It is far more meaningful and when we align with our Heavenly Father, Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit we will seek what they want, perhaps regardless of what we want and, more often than not we will also then receive what we sought. He loves to Bless us and wants us to communicate with Him. Jesus gave us the key to meaningful communication, alignment and having the power of God manifest through us. Why do we not practice what He taught until we actually get it right? He always gives us a win, win. We serve His calling and He blesses us with all that we need.

Once Again:

  • Focus on God
  • Withdrawn from and shut out all worldly distractions (close the door to our inner chamber - be alone with God)
  • Sit in Silence
  • Align with God within
  • Express our Gratitude and give Him the credit
  • Channel His power and manifest His work

The most amazing thing in this world is that God is literally waiting to sit with each of us. Please accept His invitation and follow the very method taught by Jesus Christ Himself.

The best part; we don’t even have to do this alone. Jesus said we are to ask/do things in His name “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son”. John 14:11 He will literally help us in our efforts to align with Heavenly Father. All we have to do is to sincerely try. Make the effort and keep practicing until we get it right.

Isn't this exactly what most of us claim to want? To sit with God and know what He wants from and for each of us.
